You can delete your MindLab account at any time, either from inside the mobile application or by writing to us. This page explains what gets deleted, what does not, and how to ask. It is here so that you can find it without installing anything.
1. From the mobile application
Open the app, go to Account, and choose to delete your account. You will be asked to type your current password to confirm — that confirmation is the only thing standing between a mistaken tap and a deleted account.
The deletion takes effect immediately. There is no waiting period and no way to undo it, so take a moment before you confirm.
2. By email, without the app
Write to j@mind-lab.ai from the email address of the account you want deleted, asking for the account to be deleted. We may ask you to confirm the request from that same address before acting on it — that check exists to stop someone else from deleting your account.
We answer these requests within 30 days, and normally much sooner.
3. What is deleted
Deleting your account removes:
- Your user record: name, email address and credentials
- Your multi-factor authentication enrolment, including any authenticator secret and backup codes
- Your active sessions — every access and refresh token stops working at once
- The conversations attached to your account, including their text transcripts
- Any conversation audio stored for your account, deleted from our object storage, not merely unlinked
4. What is kept, and why
Two things outlive the account, and we would rather say so than have you find out later:
- Security and audit records of actions taken on the account — logins, role changes, the deletion itself. We keep these because we are required to be able to show who did what, and they identify the account by an internal identifier rather than by your name
- Aggregated usage counters that no longer identify you, such as how many conversations a customer organization had in a month
We do not keep a shadow copy of a deleted account to reactivate later. If you come back, you start over.
5. If your account was created by your employer
MindLab accounts are usually provisioned by the organization you work for, and there is no public sign-up. Deleting your own user account does not delete that organization's data, its agents, or its other users — it deletes you.
If you are the owner of an organization inside MindLab, the deletion will be refused until ownership is transferred to someone else, and the refusal will name the organizations involved. That is not a technical limitation we plan to remove: an organization with no owner is one nobody can administer. Write to j@mind-lab.ai and we will help you transfer it.
6. Questions
